Open Water Diver
The PADI Open Water Diver Class is the first step to becoming a certified scuba diver. The Open Water class consists of 5 modules of classroom, 5 modules of pool skill development, a written quiz and an open water evaluation. Our course is designed so you can complete the classroom and pool work in a single weekend, and conditions permitting, your open water evaluation the following week!
Complete Open Water Scuba Certification Course: $319
Your first option is to take the entire course with us, the Underwater Connection. Since we have three locations, we can complete your classroom and pool-diving phases almost anytime throughout the year, and as the weather warms up, you can join us for our Open Water training dives which are run from May through October. We schedule training dives both during the week, and on selected weekends. For the most enjoyment we recommend you complete your Open Water training dives during the week after your class & pool-diving. To sign up for your training dives, simply stop by or just give us a call.
We will send all materials to you before the class starts.
Referral Option: $259
The second option for starting your scuba certification is called the Referral Option. This is the most popular choice for our traveling divers during our winter season. This option allows you to attend our classroom sessions and our pool diving, which is conducted over one weekend both in Menomonee Falls as well as our Delafield store. When you have successfully completed the classroom and pool-diving phase, the next step is to take the written test. Once you score 75% or better on your test, we can issue you the Referral Form. The PADI Referral is an official form from PADI which documents your completion of the classroom & pool-diving phases of the course. You can take this Referral Form to any PADI Instructor worldwide to complete your Open Water Training Dives.
We will send all materials to you before the class starts.

After successful completion of the written quiz, you proceed to the open water evaluation, which consists of four dives. This evaluation is a repeat of the skills you learned in the pool, but performed in an open water (outdoor) environment. To complete your Open Water Certification, we recommend these four dives be completed within 6 months of finishing the class/pool training.
When you sign up for class, you will receive the PADI Open Water Diver Student Packet, with class manual and DVD. It is important that you read the manual, complete the review questions after each chapter and watch the entire video prior to attending class, as these materials cover all performance requirements for the class/pool training and the open water evaluation.

Because our classes have a temendous response, full payment will guarantee your place in the class and get you started with your manual and class materials.
If, upon completion of the Sunday pool session, you and your Instructor feel that you need more practice before your open water dives, you can always join us at our next available pool session at no charge!
We offer class discounts for groups of four or more that sign up and pay together. We are also pleased to offer you a student discount on any and all equipment purchases needed for the class. It's our way of saying thanks for letting us exceed your expectations! For information on how to purchase basic gear click here..
