PADI Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Diver Course is the first step to becoming a certified scuba diver. To enroll in the PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

If you are looking to take advantage of the Referral Option, where you do your online coursework and the pool training with us, and then complete your open water training dives elsewhere (somewhere warm & Tropical hopefully!), then all you need to do is sign up for the weekend you want to join us in the pool and we'll complete the paper work you need to take on your trip to complete your Open Water Training Dives.
If you plan to complete the entire PADI Open Water Diver course with us, first sign up for the Pool session weekend that works best for you, and then don't forget to also sign up for your Open Water Training Dives HERE. If you don't see any dates that work for you, please give us a call at 262-251-8283 and we can work with you find something that works! Private classes are available.

There are two easy ways to complete your Open Water Certification - our referral course or by completing the full course with us at the Underwater Connection.
PADI Open Water Referral Course
$450
Get your underwater journey started with Underwater Connection. This is the main option you are signing up for above.
What is a "Referral Course"? This is the most popular choice for our traveling divers during our winter season. This option allows you to do the e-Learning and pool training with us. When you have successfully completed the weekend program along with the written exams, you will be issued Referral forms which document your completion of these sections of the course. You can then take these documents to any PADI Instructor worldwide to complete your open water training dives.

This course includes e-Learning course, pool dives, logbook, use of scuba rental equipment (including a Dive Computer) for pool dives only, and all necessary referral documents including certification fees.
*Students are required to have their own mask, snorkel and fins ( as well as boots if necessary).
Complete PADI Open Water Certification Course
$550
To complete your full certification with us you will need to sign up for the pool training session above first, then choose a date to complete you Open Water Training dives HERE. The complete certification course consists of three main phases (e-Learning session, pool diving and outdoor certification dives) that Underwater Connection can complete in as little as 4 days! Typically, the orientation discussion and pool diving are completed on a Saturday and Sunday. As the weather allows, join us for four open water training dives over two days, which are generally conducted May through October. We strongly recommend you complete the open water dives as soon as are able after the class and pool training.
